A CULTURE OF LOCAL CLIMATE ACTION

Mainstreaming good practice

From October 5 to 8, representatives from hundreds of local authorities and organisations throughout Europe as well as indigenous representatives from Amazonia will gather in Krems, Austria under the motto “A culture of climate action – Mainstreaming good practice.” You are cordially invited to this exciting event. Here are a few highlights:

• Expertly moderated interactive plenaries will trigger reflection on the ways in which we work and interact with one another in reaching climate goals.
• Six workshops on topics ranging from municipal cooperation on climate action to exchanges on climate justice and the use of online tools in engaging the public will provoke reflection on how we all can contribute to a culture of climate action within our municipalities.
• A marketplace in which members can present their own good practice solutions will provide insight into the possibilities.

All this and more will be complimented by the examples of local level climate action from Climate Alliance members across Europe to be honoured at the Climate Star Awards Gala – a special occasion which, this year, is taking place within the framework of the conference.
